Il premio come migliore regista è andato al filippino Brillante Mendoza con il film Kinatay.
L\’attrice Charlotte Gainsbourg si e\’ aggiudicata invece il premio per la migliore interpretazione in Antichrist. Come migliore attore i giurati hanno scelto Christoph Waltz per la sua interpretazione nel film Inglourious Basterds di Quentin Tarantino.

Spring fever del cinese Lou Ye si è invece aggiudicato il premio per la miglior sceneggiatura mentre Fish Tank, di Andrea Arnold, e Thirst, di Park Chan-wook, hanno vinto ex-aequo il premio della giuria al Festival di Cannes. Il premio e\’ stato consegnato dall\’attrice italiana Laura Morante.
