Two Oceans Aquarium: A Window on the Oceans of South Africa
The southern tip of the African continent is the meeting place of two mighty and bountiful oceans, the Indian and the Atlantic. The Two Oceans Aquarium on the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town is ideally positioned to showcase the incredible diversity of marine life found in these two oceans. The Aquarium is one of the top tourist attractions in Cape Town and over 3000 living sea animals, including sharks, fishes, seals, turtles and penguins can be seen in this spectacular underwater nature reserve.

turisti e dirigersi verso
Cape Town.
Lungo la strada abbiamo fatto una sosta a Betti’s bay, famosa riserva naturale dove scorrazzano in liberta’ procavie e pinguini. Attraversando strade costiere dal paesaggio mozzafiato e dopo un incontro casuale con due babbuini, verso mezzogiorno abbiamo raggiunto la citta’. Poiche’ era ora di pranzo, da bravi italiani, abbiamo prima puntato a cercare un luogo adatto a soddisfare i nostri stomaci.

handmade in South Africa, il pomeriggio e’ passato molto in fretta. Siamo ripartiti verso
Gansbaai alle 17.30, inebriati, con gli occhi pieni dei colori e della particolare e unica interculturalita’ respirata in questa citta’ multietnica.
Al rientro ci aspettava un’altra
entusiasmante conferenza tenuta da
Michael Rutzen , su come lui si approccia ed interagisce in acque libere con il grande squalo bianco, aggiungendo un nuovo e incredibile tassello alla nostra conoscenza.

(Sara Andreotti – Sara Spinetti) – A storm didn’t allow us to set up the usual excursion on the open sea, due to that we decided to have a relaxing
tour in Cape Town.
Along the way we had a stop in Betty’s Bay, very famous as natural reserve where Rock Hyraxes and penguins live freely.
We crossed the roads along the coast attracted from the fantastic landscapes around us, we had an amazing encounter with two baboons and at 12.00 p.m. we arrived to downtown. We were starving and, as Italian does, we focused our attention to look for an appropriate place where we could satisfy our stomachs.
The choice was, as tradition from years, on The fisherman’s choice a restaurant where we can eat HUGE dishes of fried fish. Delighted from lunch some of us had a tour to the Two oceans’ aquarium others, instead, preferred the shopping, wooden masks, little beads and other characteristic souvenirs handmade in South Africa; the afternoon passed suddenly. At 5.30 p.m. we returned back to Gansbaai, inebriated by the several colours seen and by the outstanding and unique intercultural scent breathed that only this multiethnic town can offer.
At our arrival we had an extraordinary conference held by Michael Rutzen, he told us about the techniques he uses to approach and interact in free waters with whites, adding a new and incredible brick into our knowledge.
